Review of Silver City, New Mexico

Silver City quirky and welcoming!
Star Rating - 5/28/2020
We moved to SC about a year ago. People are genuinely friendly-we actually have dinner in each other’s homes in our neighborhood.

Historic downtown is quirky and fun with some decent dining options.

Outdoor hiking and exploring galore. Trails are maintained and the scenery is incredible. With the semi arid climate, there are few days we can’t be outside to enjoy it.

Best move ever!

We *just* moved to Silver City (from Wisconsin). When we first visited 16 years ago, we thought it was a very nice, charming place. Once we both retired, we visited again and decided to move here. Just large enough to offer most amenities, yet still a small town with dark skies at night, abundant wildlife and no traffic jams. Numerous hiking options and decent weather most of the time.

Hello! I’m so happy to read that your so pleased with your move to SC. May I ask where you moved from? My husband and I are moving there from Mesa, Arizona in a few years. We’re hoping to land up in the higher elevations. I look forward to hearing back from you :D

Are you still enjoying living in Silver City? We have always thought about living in New Mexico, but closer to Santa Fe, but it has gotten so expensive there that I'm just not sure that would be possible any more. Thanks, Tim
